New Information and Support for Augmentative Communication App 

Houston, TX June 1, 2010 – MyTalk LLC, a provider of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) applications, has announced the launch of its new website at http://www.mytalktools.com.  The enhanced site offers not only a new look, but easier access to information and resources, including the innovative MyTalk Workspace and links to download MyTalk Mobile software apps for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. The announcement of the new site coincides with the release of the latest version of the MyTalk Mobile software on the App Store. 

One of the new features of the site is the MyTalk Workspace, where users and their parent, caretaker or clinician create and edit boards in a manner that is both creative and efficient.  The MyTalk Workspace also enables online access and rapid development of customizable communication boards for a variety of uses. The site is also a forum for sharing ideas and tips with others through the MyTalk Community, as well as resource information and news.

The MyTalkTools applications enable pre-recorded, personalized messages paired with icons or pictures to provide those with language challenges an easy, cool and affordable alternative to traditional AAC devices.  MyTalk was originally developed for Bick’s son, Michael, who has severe speech impairment due to Nager’s Syndrome.  Once the application was successfully proven, Bick dedicated MyTalk LLC to bringing accessible and affordable augmentative communication to all.

The MyTalk Mobile software can be purchased from the iTunes App Store or downloaded from the MyTalk website at www.mytalktools.com.  The new version is a free update for all current MyTalkTools users. MyTalk is also making available MyTalk Mobile-Lite, a full-featured free version limited to 12 cells for parents and caregivers to test before purchasing MyTalk Mobile-2.0 with 32,000 cell capacity.
